Fan-service and plot?!
Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo? 7 Review:
“Someone Might Get All Kissy with Asuka in the Dark?”
Mondaiji definitely strikes a nice balance between showing fan-service and displaying the progression in the story. Even if it may be boobs that are flaunting around, the anime knows when to be serious and when to not.
With festivals, and a new leader to take hold of an important position, there’s always trouble brewing. In this case, the young Northern Master, Sandora Doltrake has to take the position of power even if she’s not fully mature. As she is an inexperienced individual, one might have expected a puppeteer who controls her from the shadows, but that may be too predictable. Instead, her stern brother is her protector. He doesn’t give off a negative vibe, and he’s just concerned about Salamandra as a whole. Also, why isn’t he the successor? I’m guessing that things may be more complicated than they may seem. Perhaps, he is not part of the original lineage?
As I thought, a Demon Lord is prophesized to attack at the Rise of the Fire Dragon Festival. Floor Masters are important to the communities as they are the vanguard of their various sections, and if one breaks, chaos will ensue. Conspiracies are unavoidable given enough time in almost any society. It’s up to the No-Names to clear the messy situation up, and to gain some reputation in the process. Izayoi isn’t going to let everyone else take his fun away; he’s out to get the Demon Lord to test his own abilities. I doubt this battle will be as simple as the previous, and there’s bound to be more twists along the way for future developments.
It must be frustrating for Asuka as she posses no physical abilities like Izayoi or Kasukabe. Her Gift of controlling others against their volition will only get more difficult to use as the No-Names advance further into dangerous territory, and the ability to control other Gifts is also difficult to utilize. However, as tough as it may be, the hard beginnings may pay off more than she thinks right now. With the right Gifts to control, she has the potential to stand on even ground with Izayoi. It’s nice seeing some personal conflict as we haven’t dived into the minds of the characters yet. With what I’m seeing so far, however, I am liking.
FAN-SERVICE. HELL YEAH!
Shiroyasha and Izayoi are apt when it comes to describing the bodies of Asuka, Kurousagi, and Kasukabe. There are not many bonds stronger than that which exists between like-minded perverts. Just as quickly as the anime dives into the fan-service, it withdraws into a more serious tone. The anime does a fine job of executing fan-service properly. Instead, of having numerous random ones during serious moments that completely destroy the mood, there are selective moments where it may be deemed to be more appropriate.
The Piper of Hamelin, a part of the Grimms’ Fairy Tales is supposed to have lost his power when the Demon Lord he served died. Even so, with a Demon Lord’s attack imminent and him being a controller of rats, it looks like he will be back with a vengeance. Asuka may be the one to overcome her troubles by defeating her second major enemy, Rattenfänger as she has been attacked by rats one time already and seems to hold a piece of the puzzle with the fairy in her lap. Hopefully, Asuka will show off her true powers soon enough.
Fan-Service Galore :)
